Tim Floyd and his UTEP Miners staff received a commitment from our No.72 rated senior 6-7 combo guard Vincent Hunter from Detroit, MI Consortium College Prep on Wednesday.

Hunter is an explosive slasher and driver who can make highlights at the rim, and has been known to poste bigs in the paint off the bounce. He is a tough defender with the length and quicks to guard the two thru four spots for the Miners. he needs to work on extending his range on his jumper, but it won’t be from lack of effort. he will be a good one for Coach Floyd’ssquad in the future.

Hunter chose UTEP over his other two finalists Long Beach State and DePaul.

He joins top twenty talent 6-5 Isaac Hamilton, along with 6-4 shooting guard Andre Spight, 6-6 Jake Flaggert, and 6-5 Jacob Thomas in the Miners Class of 2013.
